Exploring Coding

On this page, you will find a parent night event that I designed, intended to be an evening where parents can learn from and with their child.

​

There is also a sample of my attempt at creating an interactive presentation using Scratch, along with student samples that were created during an inquiry-based Language Arts unit.

​

For Narrative writing with my grade 5/6 classes, they wrote a story and then used Scratch to code their stories to life!  Once they finished, they presented their stories to the class on the SMART board.

​

I have included a sample of the work they turned in for this assignment.  Note, this was their first experience with coding.
