Professional Practice

As an educator, is it important to be flexible, adaptable and reflective. As we are currently living through a digital time like never before, we must keep up with it. A shift in thinking is needed by all educators. We must reflect, try, fail, learn, and take risks as educators to refine our own pedagogy and practices. 

As I have found on my own journey, collaboration with colleagues, parents and students, has been engaging and resulted in the most rich learning experience. The best resource we have as educators is each other, our students and the community.

I have included a short video I created, to provide examples, benefits and implications of social media use in education.
Although it sounds risky, engaging students has never been easier, considering the tools we have at our finger tips. When orchestrated in a meaningful way, educators can provide students with engaging, thought provoking and unique learning experiences for all learners. I have also included a PD session I designed, to engage teachers in meaningful reflection and discussion about integrating technology in their pedagogy.
